A man tried to stab a security guard at an Islamic centre in Fairfax County, Virginia. People gathered and the man pointed the knife at several of them and lunged at others.
He was saying some islamophobic things and claiming “this is my country”.
The suspect left the scene but a video was taken by a staff member that allowed police to post on social media and track down the suspect and make an arrest.
Now, mosques are urged to increase private security guard services as attacks are happening far too often in recent years.
